Backups are essential for any computer user. The more important your data is to your business or personal use, the more often you should be backing it up. But what about when that data is not on your own device? It is no secret that Google Drive is one of the most popular cloud storage solutions available. It offers a simple interface, a generous amount of space (15 GB for free), and plenty of useful features.
It also allows users to sync files across all devices and share them with others. Backup is a necessity of life. You can never be too careful with your data. And while cloud-based backups are not perfect, they are still the best way to ensure that you won’t lose anything important should something go wrong with your offline storage. Other freemium (free trial, pay later) models exist. This includes Mega, One Drive, Dropbox, Sync, Icedrive, etc.
Here are 10 reasons why you should use Google Drive:
- The service is easy to use and can be used offline as well.
- You can share documents with other people.
- It’s very easy to use—you do not need any technical knowledge or training to use Google Drive.
- You can share your files with other people and collaborate on them.
- The interface is easy to use, so it is perfect for beginners.
- It integrates with many popular programs, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- There is a mobile app available that lets you access all your files from anywhere.
- It has a generous amount of space (15 GB for free with an option to upgrade), which is more than enough to store normal files in the cloud without worrying about running out of space.
- It is free and can be accessed from anywhere, anytime, and from any device, so it is very convenient to use.
- The data is automatically saved in the cloud, so if something happens to your computer or hard drive, you will not lose anything.
