The governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El Rufa’i, has bemoaned the low voter turnout experienced in the governorship and house of assembly elections in the state.

It was early in the morning when the INEC hoc staff arrived at the polling stations for the conduct of the elections.

Lamenting the turnout of voters, Mr. El-rufa’i was quoted as saying, “INEC must be praised; things were very easy, and I did not have any problems with my voting.

“What I have experienced is that many people did not come out, which is unpleasant, but I am calling on the people to come out and cast their votes.

“The number of our votes shows the strength we have, and we have nothing to say but wish you well.”
