Yobe Gov. Reduces Civil Servants’ Working Hours for Ramadan

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved a change in the official working hours for the public sector in order to accommodate the holy month of Ramadan.


 
This is stated in a circular titled “ADJUSTMENT OF OFFICIAL WORKING HOURS DURING THE MONTH OF RAMADAN,” with reference number GO/S/HOS/GEN/3/V.V, dated March 27, 2023, signed by Engr. Isyaka Alhaji Lawan on behalf of the Head of Service, and distributed to newsmen in Damaturu.
 


The circular requires civil servants to report to their duty locations between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays and between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Fridays.


 
The circular reads, “This adjustment covers the month of Ramadan (fasting) only and normal working hours commence immediately after the month of Ramadan.”
