Demolition: I Have Nothing To Regret-Abba Kabir

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, said he has nothing to regret regarding the demolition of certain structures in the state.

Yusuf disclosed this while hosting the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, at Kano Government House during the celebrations of the Eid-El-Kabir.

Governor Yusuf stated that he had no regrets about demolishing structures that since they were illegally sold by the previous administration of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

During the visit, the Governor appreciated the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, and the members of the Emirate Council for their support and contributions to the development of the state.

He took the opportunity to highlight the achievements of his administration in the first 31 days which include covering the NECO examination fees for 55,000 secondary school students, amounting to N1.5 billion, restoration of street lights among others.

Governor Yusuf urged the Emir and the Emirate to continue to support the policies of his administration aimed at promoting development in the state and delivering democratic dividends citizenry.

In response, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, said the visit was to extend Eid El Kabir greetings to the governor, reiterating his readiness to provide valuable advice for the state’s development.

He called on the government and affluent individuals to assist the less privileged in mitigating the effects of fuel subsidy removal.
