The Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Samuel Titus has pledged to end insecurity and crimes in the state.
According to him, the Police need information from members of the community to take the fight to the den of criminals and their hideouts in Kebbi state.
“As always, we are battle-ready and alive to our primary responsibility of crime fighting and prevention. As long as we have accurate information on crime attempts or committing crimes we would smoke them out”. Titus reiterated.
While assuring the people of Kebbi state of his resolve to minimally reduce crimes in Kebbi state, the CP decried the condition of the Ambursa community police division which he described as unfit for human occupation saying officers at the division are exposed to dangers as the office is not only inhabitable but dangerous for it has no fence and was sited close to the main road.
Samuel Titus called on the people of Ambursa to provide good accommodation for his men or risk the closure of the division.
The Police according to him, are human and, therefore, need a befitting place to work even as he lamented the refusal of the Ambursa community to rent houses for his officers to live in in order to work well in society
Speaking on behalf of PCRC the acting chairman, Comrade Shehu Umar commended the CP for the warm reception accorded to them and listed demands like mutual cooperation with the police, presence of the police during their meetings and while on courtesy visits to other places which the CP approved.
