Sokoto Governor Probes Tambuwal’s Administration

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has established a judicial panel of inquiry to investigate the immediate past administration of Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The panel, headed by former Gombe State Chief Judge Justice, Muazu Abdulkadir, has been given a two-month deadline to submit its findings.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu expressed commitment to accountability and transparency, both for the previous administration and his own.

He explained that the panel was established to address the concerns of the people of Sokoto State regarding the management of resources during the previous administration.

The governor also emphasized the selection of a chairman from outside the state to ensure impartiality.

Also, Justice Muazu Abdulkadir Pindiga, the panel chairman, assured that the inquiry would be conducted without bias or influence.

The panel’s terms of reference include investigating the sale of government properties, the allocation of land, and the utilization of payments related to these matters.

Other members of the panel are Chief Jacob Ochidi SAN, Usman Abubakar, Lema Sambo Wali Esq, Alhaji Haliru Dingiyadi, and Nasiru Mohammed Binji Esq, who will serve as the panel’s secretary.
