Bauchi Police Crack Down on Criminal Syndicates

In a significant breakthrough in the fight against crime and criminality, the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, psc, has briefed the media at the Police Headquarters in Bauchi, providing a comprehensive update on the sustained efforts of the Bauchi State Police Command.

Expressing gratitude to the press for their role as partners in the public interest, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad highlighted the Command’s unyielding commitment to achieving a crime-free state.

He lauded the exceptional performance of the police personnel and units, affirming that they had exceeded expectations in combating criminal elements.

The Commissioner disclosed that the Command’s aggressive counter-kidnapping strategies had yielded positive results, leading to the arrest of six suspected kidnapping gangs and their informants in Burra, Ningi LGA.

Among those apprehended were Hamisu Umaru, Ahmadu Abdullahi, Adamu Wada Tela, Usman Iliya, Rabi Tela Abdulmumini, and Hajara Bello.

Notably, the police operation dismantled the kidnappers’ hideout in Burra Forest, where several criminals were neutralised and others fled with bullet wounds.

Additionally, five kidnapped victims were rescued during the operations and reunited with their families in good health.

Furthermore, the Command arrested cattle rustlers who had been causing havoc in Ningi and its environs.

Detectives acted swiftly upon receiving information from a Good Samaritan and apprehended Abdullahi Ahmadu, while Abubakar Ahmed was neutralised during an encounter.

The stolen cows were successfully recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
