Bauchi Police Apprehend Four Notorious Teenage Robbery Suspects

Men of the Bauchi State Police Command have apprehended four alleged members of a gang that specialized in robbing locals of their mobile phones and laptops.

The teenage suspects were apprehended after robbing a Tecno WP3S belonging to Destiny Samuel “m” 11 years old, and Numzar Gambo ‘m’ 9 years old, both of Birshi Gandu in Bauchi local government area.

Subsequently, a total of 10 phones and three laptops were found with the suspects.

The robbery incident happened on July 27, 2023, according to a statement published on Sunday by the Command’s public relations officer, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil.

Usman Musa and Usama Sulaiman, both 18 years old, were taken into custody as police investigators from the E’ Divisional Headquarters sprang into action and hurried to the area, according to him.

The suspects were reported to have confessed and indicted two other people after their arrest.

One Itel phone, a machete, a stick, one Samsung Galaxy S8, one Samsung Galaxy AO3, one Techno KB7J, one Tecno Pouvoir, one Panasonic phone, one Itel 1516 Plus, one Tecno, and another Tecno A33 were among the items confiscated from the accused.

There are also 23 phone pouches, 1 laptop charger, 1 mouse, 1 phone charger, 1 Power bank, 1 Compaq laptop, 1 Lenovo laptop, 1 ASUS laptop, and 1 Power bank.

According to Wakili, “a discreet investigation is ongoing, after which the suspects will be profiled and charged to court.”
