In a significant move for Chelsea Football Club, a verbal agreement has been reached with Santos for the acquisition of rising star Deivid Washington from Brazil.
The deal is reported to involve a base fee of €15 million, along with an additional €5 million in potential add-ons. Sources indicate that Deivid expressed a strong desire to join Chelsea, citing his ambitions for the future.
Personal terms have been successfully negotiated, leading to the impending finalization of a long-term contract, as the necessary documentation is currently being prepared by both clubs to formalize the transfer.
This announcement comes on the heels of Chelsea’s recent investment of €15 million to secure the services of Angelo Gabriel from Santos earlier this summer. Angelo is now set to embark on a loan spell at Strasbourg.
