Troops of the Nigerian military attached to Operation Hadin Kai have ambushed some terrorists and eliminated 39 among them while 159 members of the gang were arrested.

The troops were also said to have rescued 109 hostages in different locations.

Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, the Director, of Defence Media Operations, who disclosed this to journalists during a press briefing at Defence Headquarters, Abuja on Thursday, vowed that men of the Nigerian Armed Forces would continue to deny saboteurs freedom to destabilise the country.

TCR learned that Buba emphasized the military’s commitment to preventing any attempts to destabilize the country.

He said the troops conducted operations across different areas, arresting high-profile Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Borno and Yobe, while they also rescued hostages, seized weapons, and destroyed enclaves.

He added that in separate operations, troops neutralized terrorists, made arrests, and recovered weapons.

It was gathered that the troops also disrupted oil theft in the Niger Delta, arresting syndicate members, destroying refining sites, and recovering stolen oil and weapons.
