Bauchi Approves N3b to Build Rural Road

Bauchi State Government led by Governor Bala Mohammed, has sanctioned an N3 billion project to construct a rural road connecting various communities including Liman Katagum, Luda, Lakka, and Gwallaga within the Bauchi Local Government Area.

The initiative falls under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), which receives support from the World Bank.

According to Faruoq Mustapha, the Commissioner, Ministry of Rural Development and Special Duties, construction is set to commence next week.

Additionally, the government has confirmed the reception of N2 billion as part of the N5 billion grant allocated by the federal government in response to subsidy removal.

It was reported that the state remains committed to its plan of distributing relief measures promptly to citizens, aiming to alleviate the immediate economic challenges arising from the subsidy removal.
