President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Shaakaa Chira as the substantive Auditor-General of the Federation.
Mr. Tinibu exercised powers conferred upon him by Section 86 of the 1999 Constitution (amended).
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, made this announcement today.
This decision follows the recommendation made by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) after a thorough screening exercise.
Mr. Chira emerged as the most qualified candidate, having scored the highest in the examination among all eligible candidates for the position.
President Tinubu expressed confidence in Mr. Chira’s abilities and expects him to meet the high expectations of Nigerians in executing the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.
This appointment signifies a significant step in President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening governmental institutions and ensuring capable leadership in key positions within the administration.
