In a Europa League match at Anfield on Thursday night, Liverpool’s star forward Mohamed Salah made history by breaking a longstanding record set by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in 2006.

Salah’s remarkable achievement came during Liverpool’s commanding 5-1 victory over Toulouse.

Salah, often hailed as one of the most prolific goal scorers of his generation, entered the game as a substitute with approximately 20 minutes remaining. In the 93rd minute, he showcased his exceptional skills by finding the back of the net with a sublime strike, securing Liverpool’s victory.

This goal marked Salah’s 43rd in major European competitions for Liverpool, a feat unmatched by any other player in the history of English clubs.

Impressively, 41 of these goals were scored in the prestigious Champions League, with the remaining two netted during the current Europa League campaign.

Salah’s latest goal not only cements his status as Liverpool’s ace but also places him in the annals of football history, standing shoulder to shoulder with legends like Henry.

Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, praised Salah’s dedication and skill, highlighting his invaluable contributions to the team’s success.
