The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has adjourned the collation of the Kogi State governorship election results, with the resumption scheduled for 7 p.m. on Sunday.

As of the latest update, results from 18 out of the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) have been released, leaving only three LGAs pending.

The announcement of the postponement was made by the INEC state Returning Officer, Prof. Johnson Urama.

The decision to defer the collation process indicates the significance of ensuring a thorough and accurate tally of votes.

Upon the resumption of the collation process, the remaining results from the three pending LGAs will be unveiled, leading to the long-anticipated announcement of the winner of the Kogi State governorship election.
