The Palestinian media office in Gaza has reported a devastating toll on civilian lives, with Israeli airstrikes claiming over 700 Palestinian lives in the past 24 hours.

The “Holy Family” school, a sanctuary for those displaced, has become a target, adding to the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The head of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed shock at the situation, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The WHO delegation visited the strained Nassar Hospital in southern Gaza, where overcrowding has reached critical levels, hindering the hospital’s ability to provide adequate care.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus conveyed the dire situation on social media, revealing that Nassar Hospital is operating at triple its capacity, with over 1,000 patients when it should accommodate three times fewer.

The influx of people seeking shelter has overwhelmed the facility, forcing patients to be admitted even on the ground floor.

Israeli actions extended to the West Bank and the Jordan River, where the demolition of a building in East Jerusalem, housing Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri and others, heightened tensions.

In Qalqilya, Israeli forces killed a 21-year-old man, triggering a massive demonstration and escalating tensions in the Palestinian region.

The Ministry of Interior reported Israeli warplanes concentrating attacks in al Burij, Dier al Balah, and east of Rafah, resulting in numerous casualties, including women and children.

The death toll in Gaza has reached a staggering 15,207, with over 40,652 injured. Officials fear that many more bodies may be buried in the rubble of buildings due to the relentless Israeli attacks.

As the international community watches in horror, calls for an immediate ceasefire and diplomatic intervention intensify to halt the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in the region.
