The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has asserted that it will not proceed with Direct Entry admissions without the verification of certificates for Advanced Level candidates applying for the 2023 admissions.
This announcement follows the Federal Government’s suspension of accreditation for degree certificates from Benin Republic and Togo due to concerns about fraudulent practices in obtaining qualifications.
JAMB urges affected candidates to contact their former institutions promptly for certificate verification, emphasizing that non-responsive institutions may not be considered for admissions in the upcoming academic year.
The Board has written to all tertiary institutions for cooperation in the verification process.
