The health ministry in Gaza, under Hamas administration, disclosed on Sunday that since the outbreak of the conflict with Israel on October 7, a staggering 25,105 people have lost their lives in the Palestinian territory.
The ministry’s statement further revealed that 62,681 individuals have been wounded during the clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants.
In the last 24 hours alone, the ministry reported an additional 178 casualties across the Gaza Strip.
The Hamas government media office issued a separate statement highlighting the grim situation, noting that many individuals remain trapped under rubble.
Ongoing artillery shelling in various areas, particularly in the southern city of Khan Yunis, has hindered the transfer of martyrs and injured individuals to hospitals.
The toll continues to rise amid the persistent conflict.
