In a disturbing development, terrorists have circulated a video showcasing 63 abducted women, including a bride, her relatives, and attendants, taken captive in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The group issued a chilling ultimatum, vowing to marry off the bride if a substantial ransom is not promptly paid for their release.

The victims, who were part of a wedding procession, were seized by the terrorists last Thursday in Gamji, Damari, while escorting the bride to her marital home.

The footage, surfaced on social media, depicts armed militants alongside the captives, including children, some of whom are seen pleading for rescue while others are pressured to make ransom appeals.

The terrorists, adorned in police and military attire, mockingly challenged authorities and family members, asserting their control over the situation.

TCR reported that the family of the bride disclosed that the militants are demanding overwhelming N100 million ransom for the release of all captives, a sum beyond their means.

Expressing desperation and helplessness, family members of the victims have turned to prayers, acknowledging the grim reality of rampant kidnapping for ransom in the northwest and parts of north-central Nigeria.
