IGP Approves Promotion of Over 10,000 Officers

Inspector General Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, has given the green light for the promotion of 10,581 deserving junior officers of the Inspectorate Cadre.

According to the press release from the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the promotion process will see 9,831 police constables elevated to the rank of corporal, 81 corporals advancing to the rank of sergeant, and 669 officers progressing from the rank of sergeant to inspector.

The Inspector General of Police has also shown the role of timely promotions in boosting officers’ morale and the overall effectiveness of the force.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Force leadership to fostering a culture of career advancement based on merit.

“The Nigeria Police Force extends its heartfelt congratulations to all officers slated for promotion,” stated ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer.

He urged the promoted officers to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service to the nation.

This move shows the ongoing efforts within the Nigeria Police Force to enhance personnel welfare and promote a culture of excellence within the organisation.

With assurances of promotions based on merit, the Force aims to further strengthen its manpower development initiatives, ensuring a more efficient and effective law enforcement agency for the nation.
