FCT Police Arrest Two Notorious Robbery Kingpins, Recover Five Stolen Vehicles

The FCT Police Command has announced the arrest of two notorious robbery kingpins, Ibrahim Haliru, 45, an ex-convict from Kano State, and Babangida Mohammed, 27, from Mararaba, Nasarawa State, in connection with a series of car thefts in the FCT and its environs.

According to the FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspects, who had been on the Police wanted list for several months, were trailed and arrested with the aid of digital reconstruction intelligence in a hotel in Nasarawa State on April 23, 2024, at about 3:00 p.m.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include five vehicles removed from where they were parked and various items suspected to be charms.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has urged residents to take necessary steps to protect their valuables and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of life and property in the FCT.
