Troops Kill Three Bandits, Recover Weapons in Kaduna

Troops of Operation Whirl Punch have successfully neutralised three bandits and recovered weapons in a clearance operation conducted along the Gonna Rogo-Eka axis of Kajuru Local Government Area in Kaduna State.

According to a statement released by the Commissioner Overseeing the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, the troops engaged the bandits in a fierce battle, resulting in the recovery of two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 magazines, and 81 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

Aruwan quoted the operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, stating that the troops conducted special clearance patrols in the area, made contact with the bandits, and neutralised three of them after an exchange of fire.

The commissioner added that the state governor, Uba Sani, has commended the troops for their efforts in ensuring a peaceful Eid celebration for citizens and thanked the security forces for the feedback.

The troops will continue to conduct special fighting patrols in the area and other locations of interest, according to Aruwan.

This operation is a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to combat banditry and ensure peace in Kaduna State.
