Super Falcons and Barcelona Femeni striker Asisat Oshoala etched her name in African football history on Monday night, claiming a record-breaking sixth CAF Women’s Player of the Year award.

The 29-year-old superstar was crowned the winner at the glittering gala held in Marrakesh, Morocco, further solidifying her status as one of the greatest female footballers the continent has ever seen.

The latest accolade adds to Oshoala’s previous triumphs in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022, making her the undisputed queen of African women’s football.
