President Bola Tinubu addressed Nigerians yesterday, offering a message of hope and resilience amidst the nation’s current struggles.

Speaking at the Lagos State House, he acknowledged the widespread hardships but compared them to “labor pains” – a necessary prelude to a brighter future.

“We understand the difficulties you face,” he said. “These challenges are like the pain a mother endures during childbirth. But just as she forgets that pain when she holds her newborn, soon, you too will forget these struggles as you witness the joy and opportunity this nation has to offer.”

President Tinubu emphasized the collaborative nature of his vision, stating that tackling poverty and terrorism requires concerted efforts from all levels of government.

He urged state and local authorities to prioritize agriculture and education as key weapons in these battles.

Despite the monumental task ahead, the President assured Nigerians that their nation is in capable hands.

He pointed to ongoing reforms, promising tangible results would soon be evident.

Addressing specific concerns raised during the event, President Tinubu pledged greater involvement of traditional institutions.

He also commended Governor Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, and the House Speaker for their dedication to the state’s values.
