Tinubu Mourns Loss of Nigeria Customs Service Deputy Comptroller

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his deep condolences over the sudden passing of Deputy Comptroller Etop Andrew Essien of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

The condolence message was released by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, on June 25, 2024.

Essien, who was responsible for revenue, died after falling ill during a presentation to the National Assembly House Committee on Public Accounts.

The President described Essien’s passing as a significant loss, especially given his dedication to duty until the end.

He offered his heartfelt sympathies to Essien’s family, as well as to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and the entire NCS community.

President Tinubu prayed for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace and for comfort to be bestowed upon his loved ones during this difficult time.
