EFCC Arrests Four Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested four suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

According to the EFCC, the suspects were apprehended on Thursday, June 6, 2024, during a sting operation at the Kubwa axis of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The commission said the arrest was made possible through intelligence and surveillance on the suspects’ alleged fraudulent activities in the area.

Items recovered from the suspects include four brands of mobile phones.

The EFCC stated that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The commission’s action is part of its efforts to tackle the menace of internet fraud and other related crimes in the country.
